Counterbalanced Slit Lamp Arm
A locking mechanism under the slit lamp arm lets you adjust its height with a single hand. It has a 12 in. range of travel, and it can be counterbalanced for instruments weighing between 12 and 60 lbs. A switch to raise and lower the chair is available on the slit lamp arm.

Upper (Refractor) armL_atham_and_P_hillips
The refractor arm has a 10 in. range of vertical travel and accommodates instruments weighing up to 20 lbs. It can be positioned on the support column at the desired height. A third instrument arm with a 20 to 50 lb. capacity is offered as an option. Its vertical travel is 10 in.

Instrument wells (IC only)
The Model 7720-IC is equipped with three instrument wells which hold rechargeable Welch Allyn instruments. A hanger can be provided for an indirect ophthalmoscope.

Membrane switches
Backlit membrane switches on the instrument console control the chart projector and the raise, lower and auto down functions of a Reliance examination chair. Membrane switches last 10 times longer than mechanical switches, and increase safety by eliminating high voltages. They also control the overhead lamp, and the binding posts typically used for the indirect ophthalmoscope (IC only).

Halogen overhead lamp
A standard overhead lamp arm on the Model 7720 is equipped with a long-lasting halogen bulb. It provides a bright, direct light source for minor procedures. Low voltage is safer, and the arm adjusts without the need for tools.

Options

Wheelchair access: an optional extended refractor arm and a modified lower slit lamp arm make it possible to deliver instruments to patients in any model of wheelchair. When ordered with this option, the cost may be applied toward a ADA tax credit.

Eclipse™ Room Light Control: An infrared system controls all room lighting through instrument moves or console switches. Available as an option on all Reliance low voltage stands.

Model 7725: For practicioners who only require a slit lamp on an instrument stand. This same sturdy construction and features as the 7720 stand without a refractor arm, lamp, and pole. Available with (IC) or without (NC) an instrument control.
