Even first time operators can learn how to perform an accurate IOP measurement in just minutes. The operator simply views the patient's eye through the eyepiece and moves the PT100 towards the eye, while the patient focuses on a fixation target. Once the PT100 has acquired the eye, an alignment system automatically activates inside the eyepiece, guiding the operator to the correct alignment position. The system comprises two easy to follow visual indicators, a color bar on the left to indicate distance from the eye and a circular pattern of arrows to guide the user to the patient's corneal apex. Once the correct alignment is detected the instrument automatically takes an IOP measurement. The PT100's very soft air puff ensures patient comfort throughout the entire measurement process. Measurement data is displayed on the screen and the system prepares itself for the next measurement.
