Marco CP-690E Automatic Chart Projector
Marco’s new CP-690E Automatic Chart Projector combines all of the sophistication and efficiency of our previous model, including two new ETDRS LogMar acuity charts.

With the clinically advanced standards of ETDRS and the LogMar system of visual assessment gaining worldwide acceptance, we recognized the importance of including the ETDRS charts on the new CP-690E. Because of its unique structure and layout, the ETDRS chart maintains a consistent “degree of difficulty” as the patient reads down the chart, resulting in a more accurate evaluation and measurement of visual acuities.

By providing you the option of programming up to 33 total charts in any order you wish, the CP-690E allows you to conduct an examination in a darkened room simply by pressing one button on the remote control each time you want to move to the next chart.

While allowing you to pre-program a sequence of charts in advance, the CP-690E’s random access capability gives you the option of performing an examination by randomly selecting the charts you want while you proceed with the refraction.

Sophisticated masking features allow you to isolate and maneuver individual horizontal or vertical lines and individual letters, numbers and characters. You also have your choice of special polarized tests as well as a Red/Green slide and a Red/Green filter. All of these selections are immediately accessible at the touch of a button.

The standard selection of 33 charts includes not only the ETDRS, but also a wide variety of Snellen, illiterate Es, numbers, pediatric, and special testing charts. To eliminate patient memorization, the CP-690E includes 10 selectable 20/20 lines, and additional 20/15 and 20/10 lines for the more discriminating refractive surgery patients.

Since the CP-690E is fully automatic with an infrared remote control, the projector head can be mounted out of the way on a shelf or to the wall. The sensitivity of the infrared system allows you to aim the remote control either at the screen or the projector itself. Standard accessories include a projector screen and a 6V 20W halogen lamp.

Features

A proprietary internal brightness control reheostat
Allows you to adjust the brightness intensity of the projected image.

Advanced internal circuitry
Produces a more consistent level of brightness of the projected image by automatically compensating for any fluctuation in suppy voltages or changes in refraction distance.

New optics design
Condensing lens system produces a 30% increase in the overall projected image quality.

New lamp housing design
Allows for a much easier replacement and position of the halogen bulb.

CP-690 Fingertip Feature:
13 charts for special testing including phoria test; muscle balance test; minute stereo test to verify subjective refinement; coincidence test; worth four-dot test; fixation spot test; astigmatic dial; Snellen letters with red/green filter; cross-cylinder testing; vertical letters; horizontal letters; and binocular refractive balance test.

•  3 children's charts (one 20/20 line),

•  5 number charts (two 20/20 lines),

•  4 illiterate E charts (two 20/20 lines), and

•  8 Snellen charts (five 20/20 lines, for a total of ten 20/20 lines to prevent memorization).

•  Mask buttons permit you to isolate individual lines both horizontally and vertically, as well as to isolate individual letters, numbers and characters.

•  Red/green filter can be used on any appropriate chart.

•  The program buttons are used both for programming the CP-690E and for using it in a programmed sequence. Programming the instrument is similar to setting a digital watch. As you select each chart you want to use, depress the button for that chart and then depress the Program Button. To use the CP-690E after it has been programmed, press Start to start the chart sequence, then press Next each time you want to advance to the next chart.

•  Two buttons allow you to move up or down the Snellen chart range a line at a time with a horizontal mask. L_atham_and_P_hillips
