Topcon TRC-50EX Retinal Camera

Topcon has applied the world's most advanced technology to develop a retinal camera that is digital image ready. Generate bright, clear color or fluorescein retinal images that are immediately ready for digital analysis with the features of the TRC-50EX and the IMAGEnet 2000 system. Cutting-edge microelectronics and optical designs of unmatched performance enable this system to take retinal images of exceptional resolution with stunning speed and simplicity. Rely on the Topcon TRC-50EX for diagnostic analysis of the highest quality.

IMAGEnet 2000 is a full-function, state-of-art digital imaging system for faster, more efficient acquistion, storage, retrieval and analysis of all types of ophthalmic images:

•  Digital fluorescein angiography
•  Digital color fundus photography
•  Digital red free photography

IMAGEnet 2000 incorporates a full range of image enhancement programs that can be of great help in precisely evaluating more difficult pathologies.

Features

Automated accessory detection
Fast, simple operation with no mistakes. The unique, double-mount video relay lens eliminates any complications from digital image generation. Simply select color or fluorescein procedure, and the automated CCD camera selection mechanism enables fast, easy execution. Synchronized accessory detection capability and sophicated operating sensors prevent mishandling to guarantee a perfect image every time.

Data transfer capability
The TRC-50EX features integrated data transfer capability that permits immediate analysis of retinal images by other diagnostic instruments. Image data is automatically transmitted together with Left / Right Eye indicator coding and coverage angle, to eliminate the danger of misdiagnosis of perpheral image data. This capability also functions with 35mm images. L_atham_and_P_hillips

Optimized flash intensity control
Precise and delicate control of flash intensity is vital to obtain maximum detail in digital imaging The TRC-50EX provides 21-step adjustment of fash intensity to enable results optimized for fundus photography.

High and wide eyepoint viewing
The eyepiece of the TRC-50EX is designed for high and wide eyepoint viewing and make adjustment and focusing fast and easy.

Immediate access to all controls
Every control function of the TRC-50EX is built into a centralized panel surrounding the camera body and directly at hand. Fluorescein filter insertion, timer activation, control of observation illumination, flash intensity, and mode selection can all be accomplished without turning away from the observation point. A digital LED panel provides all required information, from timer count to Left / Right Eye detection, flash intensity and the number of images taken.

Simplified loading and rewind of 35mm film
The TRC-50EX makes it easier than ever to generate finely detailed 35mm fundus photographs by allowing motorized loading and rewinding of the film with the camera back,

Handles small diameter pupils down to 4.5mm
The TRC-50EX Is capable of generating clear, bright fundus photographs at pupil diameters as small as 4.5mm. This makes it far easier to obtain retinal images of diagnostic quality for even the most difficult patients.

Stereo image capability
One-touch lateral shift capability helps the TRC-50EX generate stereo images quickly and easily.

Short working distance
Topcon has modified its original omni-directional joystick control for even smoother operation, with a shorter working distance to make centering control easier. The objective lens has been repositioned 30mm lower to the table top to increase patient comfort.

Alignment dots
These green alignment dots provide easy confirmation of working distance and are extremely helpful for pre-injection positioning in fluorescein angiography.

Compact design
By integrating the power supply in the camera base, Topcon has given the TRC-50EX an extremely small table-top footprint and eliminated the need to make space for additional bulky devices.

M-10 35mm camera (Option)
This completely self-contained camera body features auto film advance/rewind functions to add convenience for busy operators.

PA-50EX Polaroid attachment (Option)
The PA-50EX provides retinal photographs on high quality instant color film. The accessory incorporates an audible warning when film supply is exhausted, as well as an indicator showing which camera is active.

OR-1 1X Relay lens (Option)
Employing the optional OR-1 relay lens allows attachment of two 35mm camera bodies to the optical head of the TRC-50EX. This enables the operator to execute both conventional color photography and fluorescein angiography at the same time.

AIT-11 Adjustable instrument table (Option)
This motorized instrument table is designed for direct linkage of the control console to enable fast, stable positioning of the patient while taking up minimal office space.
